In short: CreamiPint does not collect, sell, or share your personal information. Your recipes, notes, photos, and freezer data stay on your device and — if you’re signed in to iCloud — sync privately through your own Apple Account. We have no servers and no analytics, and we never see your content.
This Privacy Policy explains how CreamiPint (the “App”) handles information. The App is provided by [Legal entity name — e.g. Ilscipio GmbH] (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. We operate no servers, accounts, or back-end of our own, and we have no way to access the content you create in the App.
2. Information you create and where it lives
The content you add — recipes, ingredients, notes, ratings, photos, freezer batches, and settings — is stored:
- On your device, and
- In your private iCloud account (Apple’s CloudKit private database), if you are signed in to iCloud and iCloud sync is available. This lets your data sync across your own Apple devices.
This data is stored under your Apple Account and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We cannot read, access, or retrieve it. If you turn off iCloud for the App, your content remains only on your device.
3. Photos
If you add a photo to a recipe, you choose it through the system photo picker. Only the specific image you select is imported and stored with that recipe (on your device and in your iCloud, as above). The App does not access your broader photo library and does not upload photos to us.
4. Importing recipes from websites
When you choose to import a recipe from a web address, the App sends a request from your device directly to the website you entered in order to read its recipe data. That website — a third party we do not control — may receive standard request information such as your device’s IP address and user-agent, and may log it under its own privacy policy. The App sends this request only when you ask it to, and it does not route your browsing or imports through us.
5. Purchases
CreamiPint offers a one-time in-app purchase (“CreamiPint Pro”). Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your name, payment card, or billing details. The App only receives confirmation from Apple of whether the purchase is active, so it can unlock Pro features and restore your purchase on your devices. Apple’s handling of the transaction is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
6. Notifications
If you enable the freeze-timer reminder, the App schedules a local notification on your device. This reminder is generated and delivered entirely on-device; no notification content or scheduling data is sent to us or to any server.
7. Analytics, tracking, and advertising
The App contains no analytics, no third-party tracking SDKs, and no advertising. We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and do not track you across apps or websites.
8. How your information is shared
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information. Because we do not collect it, there is nothing for us to share. The only parties involved are:
- Apple — for iCloud storage/sync and App Store purchases, under Apple’s terms.
- Recipe websites you choose to import from — contacted directly by your device at your request, under their own policies.
9. Data retention and deletion
You control your data. You can delete individual recipes, notes, photos, and freezer entries in the App at any time. To remove everything, delete the App from your device and, if you used iCloud sync, delete the App’s data from your iCloud storage (Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage). Because we never receive your content, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
10. Security
Your content is protected by the security of your device and of your Apple Account and iCloud. We recommend keeping your device and Apple Account secured with a passcode and two-factor authentication.
11. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
12. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. Because CreamiPint does not collect or hold your personal data, we have no personal data to provide, correct, or erase on your behalf; your content is under your own control on your device and in your iCloud account (see Sections 2 and 9). We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). If you have questions about your rights, contact us below.
13. International users
The App can be used worldwide. Any storage or syncing of your content through iCloud is handled by Apple and may occur on Apple’s infrastructure in various regions, under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this address. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
